Premier Lots Are Selling

The best lots in Sequim and Port Angeles are still selling.  That’s the way it works.  We have a slow down in the market, an increase in the inventory, and a buyer’s market, but . . . for those lots that are the cream of the crop with incredible water views, buyers are still snapping these up. 

It’s not a race by any means, but retirees who have been planning for a while, are coming to shop, and they are closing their transaction with cash.  For those who are planning to retire in Sequim or Port Angeles, now is a very good time to close the deal on your ideal lot, even if you are not planning to build for 6 months or 2 years. 

You can wait, but the problem with that is the market will probably be up substantially by the time you realize it is, and the lot you would have bought may be sold. 

This is not a "quick, buy now" sales tactic.  I wrote a nice offer on a water view lot the week before last, and this past weekend wrote another offer on a rare high bluff water view lot.  They don’t make this stuff anymore, so when it’s sold and built on, it is gone. 

I would also recommend planning ahead on your home design and your builder selection.  All good things take time, but wait and the best builder(s) may be completely booked.  Yes, right now is slow for everyone in the real estate business, but will next September or next May be slow? 

I recommend you begin to build a relationship now with a competent and trustworthy Realtor and an outstanding custom home builder.
